Bayer Leverkusen talent Gabriel Minutillo has aspirations to be part of Carles Martínez's squad next season.

“I would like to get the chance in this or the next season to make my professional debut,” the 16-year-old said in a podcast interview.

“For now, I want to continue to develop. I just want to be a better player than I am now. It's my dream to play for Bayer Leverkusen.

“Especially when I see players like Montrell Culbreath, who has already been playing with the first team since last year,” he added. 

Discussing his inspiration, the Germany U-16 international and attacking midfielder picked one of the Rhineland club's brightest stars.

“My role model is definitely Ibo Maza, because he plays in my position, the ten. I love the way he plays and how he dribbles.

“He plays those decisive passes, but also works back defensively. It's my dream to play together with him here in a few years,” he concluded.
