That makes it two defeats in a row for FC Barcelona, and they were simply abysmal to watch. From individual mistakes to being simply outplayed by Sevilla, Barça have been completely outplayed by the opposition.
A 4-1 defeat away from home, the Catalan giants were made to suffer and they deserved to lose this game. Terrible defeat, and one that should be a monumental loss for this team.
Here are the player ratings for the team.
Player Ratings:
Wojciech Szczesny: 4.0
Poor, and pathetic goalkeeping for that final goal that he conceded.
Jules Kounde: 3.0
Abysmal yet again, Jules Kounde has been frustrating to watch over the last two games. Pathetic performance.
Ronald Araujo: 3.0
Gave away a penalty for no reason, and the team simply did not look stable with him in the backline.
Pau Cubarsi: 4.0
Almost always in a vulnerable position and he just can not seem to catch a break. Poor performance.
Gerard Martin: 3.5
Did some things right, but almost never seemed dangerous for Sevilla to deal with.
Frenkie de Jong: 4.0
The Dutchman seemed invisible at times, and barring a few impressive runs, he was ineffective in this game.
Pedri: 7.0
Arguably the only creative player who was making things happen, Pedri tried his best. Brilliant assist for Rashford’s goal as well.
Marcus Rashford: 7.5
Great finish for his goal, and he was the only attacker who seemed likely to make something happen in this game for Barcelona.
Dani Olmo: 5.0
Limited and almost never managed to do something that worried Sevilla. Poor from him, a recurring pattern this season.
Ferran Torres: 3.0
Hard to tell if he was even on the pitch.
Robert Lewandowski: 2.0
Ineffective in pressing, not exactly a duel winner anymore, no speed, poor finishing, and missed a penalty. Unbelievable.
Alejandro Balde: 6.0
Added a much-needed spark in the second half.
Eric Garcia: 6.5
Great second half display from Eric Garcia, and he should have started this game.
Roony Bardghji: 5.5
Managed to come into some good positions, but lacked composure at the very end of most plays.
Andreas Christensen: N/A
Not enough time or involvement in the game to warrant a rating.
