LFP Media, the commercial arm of the Ligue de football professionnel, said in a statement on Tuesday that it has agreed a 2026-27 broadcast deal in India with JioStar. The partner is self-described as India’s leading media and entertainment group, with more than 120 TV channels and an audience of over 800 million weekly viewers and users on its streaming platform.

Four Ligue 1 matches per round will be shown on JioStar’s JioHotStar streaming service.

JioStar also holds rights to several cricket competitions, including the Indian Premier League (IPL), whose final last season reached more than 400 million people.

LFP Media has also struck a distribution agreement in Indonesia with Emtek and its platform Vidio, which has a user base in the tens of millions.

The league’s footprint spans 215 territories, 53 broadcast partners and 44 languages, underlining its global standing.
