LFP Media has launched Ligue 1+Pro for cafés, restaurants and other public venues, unveiling the offer on Thursday as it targets the out of home market.
According to Le Progres, Ligue 1+Pro launched in June and mirrors La Liga’s approach, which generates 100 million euros a year. The LFP’s commercial arm has taken the business service back in house after delegating it to DAZN for Business last season. Its Ligue 1+ platform is in its second year and carries every Ligue 1 match.
Pricing is set between 60 and 180 euros per month depending on the number of screens in a venue. To scale distribution, the company has partnered with FDJ United, part of La Française des Jeux, and its network of 29,000 outlets.
Public venues are not permitted to use the consumer Ligue 1+ subscription. Since the start of the season, inspections have identified more than 600 sites using non-compliant feeds, with formal notices issued and legal action to follow for persistent breaches. The move is intended to contribute to club financing and to curb piracy.
The company no longer discloses subscriber totals, but is looking to matchday five, headlined by the OM-PSG Classique on Sunday, to draw new viewers. After a rapid start following last season’s launch, Ligue 1+ reached one million subscribers then stalled around 1.1 million by May.
