RC Lens will pay 25,000 euros per Ligue 1 match in fines because head coach Yannick Cahuzac does not yet hold the BEPF.
According to L'Équipe, the club sought to avoid the per match charge, but the DTN rejected the request since Cahuzac lacks 12 months’ service at Lens. He returned in June after two and a half years at Lorient as assistant to Olivier Pantaloni, and is taking the diploma this season.
The club accept they cannot comply with the regulations this season and will pay the fine.
The fines do not apply in the Champions League.
Lens host Sporting Portugal on 13 October, in matchday 2 of the group stage.
