LFP 'open' disciplinary case after homophobic chants at Ousmane Dembélé in OM-PSG

Le Parisien reports that the LFP has opened a disciplinary case after homophobic chants and insults aimed at Ousmane Dembélé during OM-PSG, which ended 1-2 on Sunday.

The league has decided to refer the matter to its disciplinary commission.

The match was not halted despite the incidents and a warning from Sports Minister Marina Ferrari.

Ferrari had highlighted the risk of such behaviour and wrote to LFP president Vincent Labrune, asking him to apply FIFA’s directive when homophobic or racist messages occur.

The incidents were recorded in the match delegate’s report and will be examined by the LFP disciplinary commission.
