Yanis Begraoui has already become a legend in just two seasons at Estoril Praia. The Moroccan striker this season became the club's all-time top scorer in the Portuguese league with 28 goals. At just 24 years old, he is establishing himself as one of Estoril Praia’s most influential forwards.

Yanis Begraoui has been making history at Estoril Praia ever since his arrival at the Portuguese club in the summer of 2024. The former Toulouse FC player is steadily carving his name into Canarinhos folklore thanks to his impressive attacking prowess.

A historic record already shattered

This season, the Franco-Moroccan forward has already netted 17 goals in the league, with 10 matchdays still left to play. That tally allows him to equal the record for the most goals scored in a single league season for Estoril, previously held by Léo Bonatini, who bagged 17 goals in the 2015-2016 campaign.

But Begraoui’s achievement doesn’t stop there. With 28 league goals since joining, he is now Estoril Praia’s all-time top scorer in the Portuguese Liga. An outstanding feat for a player who is only in his second season with the club.

A meteoric rise

In his first season in Portugal, Begraoui already made a statement by finishing as the club’s top scorer with 11 goals. This year, he has taken things up a notch, raising his tally to 17 goals, which currently places him as the third top scorer in the Portuguese league.

Three goals away from another record

Across all competitions, the 24-year-old striker now boasts 28 goals for Estoril. He is closing in on the club’s all-time record, held by Brazilian Kléber and Spaniard Alejandro Márquez, who both scored 31 goals. Begraoui is now just three goals away from matching—or surpassing—this historic milestone.

Still awaiting a call-up to the Atlas Lions

Despite his standout performances in Portugal, Begraoui has yet to be called up to the senior national team. The forward, who has featured for youth squads, is still waiting for his first opportunity at the highest international level.

In the meantime, Yanis Begraoui continues to write his own legend at Estoril, where he is already cementing his status as one of the club’s most impactful strikers in recent history.
