Ligue 1’s summer window closed on Tuesday with clubs cashing in heavily, their notional XI of exits eclipsing the arrivals. Transfermarkt puts sales at about €1.3bn against roughly €605m of spending across the 18 teams.

In goal, Gerónimo Rulli left Marseille for Manchester City to back up Gianluigi Donnarumma. Guéla Doué switched from Strasbourg to Bayer Leverkusen for €30m.

Up front, Gonçalo Ramos joined AC Milan for around €60m, three years after costing PSG €80m including add-ons. Mason Greenwood departed Marseille for Fenerbahçe for about €40m.

The arrivals XI leans on loans. Strasbourg borrowed Filip Jorgensen from Chelsea, Lyon took Zachary Athekame from AC Milan without an option, and Lens secured Jean-Clair Todibo from West Ham on the same terms.

Axel Witsel arrived at Nice on a free after a strong year at Girona. Lucas Digne returned to PSG after a clause of about €10m was triggered.

Lyon bought Mads Bidstrup for about €10m and Lens added Algeria international Yacine Titraoui for roughly €8m. PSG signed Ferran Torres and Mika Godts for significant fees, while Lille landed Eredivisie top scorer Ayase Ueda and Lyon brought back Loïs Openda on loan from Juventus.
