Lille confirm Orlando Gill signing on deal until 2031 | OneFootball

The club said in a statement that Paraguay international Orlando Gill has joined Lille on a contract until 2031. He kept goal for Paraguay against France at the World Cup.

Gill, 26, arrives as back-up to Berke Özer, Lille's first-choice since last season, adding depth for a European campaign.

The departure of Ayyoub Bouaddi to Manchester City has pained Lille supporters, but Wednesday brought some solace. Earlier in the evening the club completed the loan of Dilane Bakwa, then confirmed Gill.

Capped 11 times, Gill will be playing in Europe for the first time. He has previously featured for San Lorenzo in Argentina and San Lorenzo in his homeland.

Lille are qualified for the Champions League this season.
