Linssen sparks win as Lebreton's late strike lifts hosts to second

NEC Nijmegen beat Heracles 4-1 at Goffertstadion to rise from third to second in the Eredivisie.
In the 17th minute Bryan Linssen rifled in from outside the box after Philippe Sandler's pass.
Lequincio Zeefuik levelled (23.) from Naci Unuvar's feed, but Tjaronn Chery restored the lead with a low finish (42.) from Noé Lebreton's assist.
Brayann Pereira drew a penalty (55.). VAR confirmed the spot kick, and Basar Önal converted (57.).
Sava Cestic had a reply overturned after a VAR check for offside (68.). Substitute Youssef El Kachati then squared for Lebreton to add a late fourth (90.).
Zeefuik twice struck the left post in the first half as the visitors threatened briefly.
NEC Nijmegen controlled the ball with 68.6% possession and produced 15 attempts, six on target. Heracles registered two efforts on target from 10 attempts.
