Lionel Messi named in Scaloni’s squad, several fresh faces included

It made us wait, but it finally arrived. Lionel Scaloni, just before boarding the plane that will take him to Miami this Friday night, released the list of players called up for the friendlies that will be played in the coming days in the United States. And, as always, the coach is betting on the world champions as well as a few surprises.

With captain Leo Messi leading the way and several of his teammates from the four titles in the last five years, Scaloni will use these friendlies against Venezuela (on Friday, October 10 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami) and against Puerto Rico (on Monday, October 13 at Soldier Field in Chicago) to test many players with an eye on the World Cup.
