Dominik Livakovic has arrived in Barcelona to finalise a summer move, with his immediate role still unclear.

He is due for a medical on Wednesday, then to sign a four-year contract. Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona will pay Fenerbahce €four million, comprising €two million fixed and €two million in add-ons, with one year left on his deal in Türkiye.

Barcelona initially mapped out a season-long loan before recalling him next season, once Szczesny's contract expires. Another scenario would keep him at Camp Nou as back-up to Joan Garcia.

On arrival, Livakovic said he was delighted to be in the city and that whether he stays this season remains to be seen.

His status as second choice depends on financial fair play and room on the wage bill. If there is space, he joins immediately. If not, the club will pursue a loan, perhaps to Dinamo Zagreb, ahead of a 2027 return as Barcelona's number two.
