Ibrahima Konate, whose contract at Anfield expires at the end of the season, and has been linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, although the interest has seemingly cooled down of late.

Now, Real Madrid might also be looking at some of the younger talents coming through the ranks at the Liverpool academy.

Joshua Abe at the Santiago Bernabeu

Indeed, according to The Athletic’s Mario Cortegana, Liverpool academy talent, Joshua Abe, met with Real Madrid players at the Santiago Bernabeu this past Saturday.

The 15-year-old prospect attended Real Madrid’s final game of 2025 against Sevilla this past weekend at the Bernabeu and even met some of the players.

As per the report, Abe was invited to the stadium by the Alexander-Arnold family, as Trent’s brother and agent is currently responsible for advising the teenage prodigy and his family.

Aged 15, Abe is a winger who is already playing for Liverpool’s U-18 team in the U-18 Premier League. So far this season, the attacker has two goals and two assists from five matches.

Abe has also played five matches for the England U-16 national team, bagging three goals in the process.

It is unclear whether Real Madrid are interested in him at this point and if the visit to the Santiago Bernabeu this past Saturday was part of a strategy to lure him.

Nonetheless, it will have been a memorable experience for the 15-year-old Abe to visit the iconic Bernabeu and interact with players from Real Madrid.
