Liverpool ‘approach’ RB Leipzig over Yan Diomande deal

According to The Athletic, Liverpool have approached RB Leipzig over a summer move for Yan Diomande. The report also says Liverpool are considered in the strongest position with the player regarding a potential agreement.

Meanwhile, Foot Mercato previously claimed the 19-year-old had agreed personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain.

RB Leipzig have made clear they want to keep Diomande beyond the summer after his breakout Bundesliga season. However, an offer in excess of €130 million could change their stance.

Diomande is under contract with RB Leipzig until 2030 and has no release clause.

He is set to represent Ivory Coast at the upcoming World Cup.
