In a recent report, Fichajes revealed that Liverpool are eyeing a move for Real Oviedo winger Haissem Hassan. It is believed that the Reds are showing interest in securing the services of the Egyptian wide player this off-season.

Hassan’s Lack Of Consistency In Spanish Football

Hassan had an inconsistent campaign at the Spanish club but managed to put in a few eye-catching displays for them in the final third. The 24-year-old picked up three assists in 38 appearances for Real Oviedo last season in all competitions.

The Egypt international is currently among the most talented wide players in his homeland. Hence, it is no surprise that the Reds are hoping to get a deal done for him later this year.

His current contract at the Spanish club will run out next summer. Hence, Liverpool could potentially sign him on a cut-price deal this off-season.

Should Liverpool Boss Andoni Iraola Get Hassan On Board?

Hassan is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with it out in the wide areas. He can engineer the odd chance for his teammates on the offensive end of the field, but needs to add some goals to his game.

The Egypt international is primarily a right-sided wide player but can also operate as a left-winger or play in the number ten position if told to do so by his manager. However, there are some concerns over whether he would be able to adapt to the physicality and high intensity of the Premier League if the Reds manage to get a deal done for him before the end of this summer transfer window.

We can expect Hassan to bring more quality and depth to Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola’s attacking department. He has what it takes to serve as a useful rotational piece in the Merseyside club’s match-day squad.

At 24, Hassan has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a decent choice for the Reds to pursue in this summer transfer window. He will also help the Merseyside giants compete across all fronts in the coming seasons. Hence, Iraola would be wise to go all out to get him on board this off-season.
