In a recent report, journalist James Holland claimed that Liverpool are in the running to recruit Tottenham Hotspur defender Luka Vuskovic. It has been mentioned that the Reds are set to rival Manchester United in the race to land the Croat youngster this summer.
Vuskovic enjoyed a decent loan spell at Hamburg recently as he produced a series of impressive displays for them on the defensive end of the field. The 19-year-old played in 30 matches for the German club last season, scoring six goals and earning one assist across all fronts.
The Croat talent is currently one of the most gifted centre-backs in his homeland. Hence, it is no surprise that the Reds are showing interest in signing him in this transfer window.
His current contract at his parent club, Tottenham Hotspur, will run out in the summer of 2030. Thus, Liverpool would have to make a convincing offer if they are serious about signing him later this year.

Vuskovic is a good tackler of the ball and can sense the danger well to secure possession back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when the opposition are on the offensive and is proficient at playing his way out from the back.
Standing at 1.93m, the Croat sensation is a strong presence in the air as well. However, he is still unproven in the Premier League and would need time to adjust to life at the Merseyside club if they manage to sign him this summer.
We can expect Vuskovic to add more quality and depth to Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola’s attack. He is good enough to challenge for a regular first-team spot at Anfield in the coming years. Furthermore, the Croat whizkid could serve as an ideal successor to Virgil Van Dijk at the Merseyside club in the long run.
At 19, Vuskovic has the potential to be a world-class player in his position someday. He is undoubtedly a prospect to watch out for in the future, so the Reds should focus on getting him on board before the end of this transfer window.
