Liverpool have confirmed that Conor Bradley has suffered a “significant knee injury”.
The defender was forced off late on during Liverpool’s draw with Arsenal on Thursday.
“Bradley will undergo surgery in the coming days and then begin a period of rehabilitation at the AXA Training Centre,” Liverpool said in a statement.
“No timeframe is being placed on his return to playing at this stage of the process.”
Meanwhile, Reds boss Arne Slot is hoping Hugo Ekitike could return for his side’s FA Cup clash against Barnsley on Monday.
“Hugo, that is not 100 per cent sure, but we will do everything to have him available on Monday,” Slot said.
Wataru Endo is also nearing a return. “I think if I am correct he might start to train one of these days, but he has been out for two months now, that’s of course different to being out for one week,” Slot said.
