Luis Suarez is undoubtedly one of Liverpool's best strikers over the last few years.
The Uruguay international formed a dynamic partnership with several members of the Reds' squad and scored 82 goals during the 133 games he played for them.
Since then, several strikers have tried to pick up from where he left off and, while Roberto Firmino was probably the closest, it still feels like prime Suarez was a different animal.
This obviously hasn't stopped the club from trying to find their next Suarez with the Anfield outfit now offering a contract to someone who could easily be as good as the former Ajax man.
Unless you follow Liverpool's academy, you probably won't have heard of Keyrol Figueroa.
The striker is only 19 years old although he hasn't made his professional debut just yet, with Andoni Iraola now in charge, it feels like that could all be about to change.
This season, the attacker has been one of the highest-regarded academy players to emerge from Anfield as he's scored 12 goals across all competitions.
And, thanks to this recent run of form, Liverpool have confirmed that a new contract offer has been made for the Honduras international.
"As previously announced, Ibrahima Konate, Andy Robertson, Mohamed Salah and Rhys Williams are each departing the Reds’ senior squad this summer," they wrote.
"A number of players from the Academy set-up will also leave the club upon the expiry of their contracts.
"Kareem Ahmed, Emmanuel Airoboma, James Balagizi, DJ Bernard, Oakley Cannonier, Josh Davidson, Terence Miles and Jacob Poytress will be embarking on new chapters in their careers.
"Everybody at the club would like to thank the players for all their contributions and wish each of them the best for the future.
"Meanwhile, contract offers have been made to Prince Cisse, Keyrol Figueroa, Kyle Kelly, Afolami Onanuga, Oliver O’Connor, Lucas Pitt, Ben Trueman and Matthew Wright."
Much like Suarez, Figueroa is an out-and-out striker.
Even though he's still young, from the way he plays and carries himself on a pitch, it's clear that he's going to be an excellent number nine.
He did suffer an injury during the 2025-26 season which kept him out of action for a while but, upon his return, he got back to his usual goal-scoring self.
And, with his contract expiring this summer, there was always a worry about him exiting and joining another club.
His movement inside of the box is a sight to behold but, since he's only young, he still lacks the physical presence to be playing regular Premier League football.
If Figueroa chooses to stay a loan for the 2026-27 season is the most likely course of action but, if he manages to progress as he's expected to, there's no reason why he couldn't become Liverpool's next Suarez.
That is, especially with how much fire he clearly has in his belly to succeed.
