Liverpool considering Dumfries to cover for Frimpong's absence
Liverpool have been dealt another blow. Jeremie Frimpong is expected to be sidelined for several weeks, potentially up to three months, due to a muscle injury. This lengthy absence is forcing the Reds to look for solutions in the transfer market.
According to information from Gianluca Di Marzio, the English club have made inquiries about Denzel Dumfries. The Dutch full-back is among the profiles being considered to strengthen the right flank. For now, however, it is merely an information-gathering stage, with no concrete progress made.
There is, however, a stumbling block: Dumfries is also injured. He suffered an ankle injury at the start of the season and had to undergo surgery, although his expected absence should be shorter than Frimpong's. Liverpool remain vigilant but are proceeding with caution in this matter.
