Last term, the Reds broke their transfer record twice after they brought Florian Wirtz and the Sweden international in.
Isak has been a key cog in the Reds' attack this season but, during the 2025-26 campaign, he spent most of it side-lined due to injury.
Liverpool's fanbase thought that, after he got a full pre-season out of the way that he'd avoid getting injured but, while away on international duty, he's had to be sent back to L4 to do rehab on the injury he suffered.
Obviously, this is not what you want from your star man but, luckily for Andoni Iraola, he may have already found his replacement for the former Newcastle man.
At the moment, it may feel like Lewis Koumas is Liverpool's main back-up striker but, since he can be used on either wing, it feels like he could be used there in the future.
And, since Jayden Danns is now back from injury, the 20-year-old is probably going to be challenging the Welshman for his starting spot now that Isak is out.
When Jurgen Klopp was in charge of Liverpool, the German introduced Danns to his first-team squad and, while he impressed, his injuries over the last few years have massively hindered his progress.
For example, last term when Isak missed most of the season, if Danns was available, he'd have probably been able to relieve Hugo Ekitike on multiple occasions which could've stopped the Frenchman from suffering his Achilles injury.
However, that obviously wasn't meant to be and, since Iraola is known to to put his trust into youngsters, this could now be the Englishman's time to shine.
And, if he manages to meet expectations while playing, there's no reason why he couldn't become Liverpool's next Isak.
Even though Isak was sent back to Liverpool by Sweden, it's still unclear how long he'll actually be out of action for.
So, even if Danns only has one or two games where he can prove his worth, he needs to make the most of it.
The fact that Cody Gakpo is also likely to be out for an extended period massively plays in his favour.
As, if the Dutchman was fit, he'd definitely be used as Liverpool's number nine.
Of course, Iraola could end up moving Wirtz to striker and using Dominik Szoboszlai as a number 10 but, with how much trust he's put into youngsters so far, there's no reason why Danns won't get given a shot.
And, if he manages to make as much of an impact as he did during his Anfield debut where he scored two goals, he could quite easily force his way into Iraola's plans.
