Liverpool have made another attempt to sign Chelsea defender Malo Gusto on loan today, according to Fabrice Hawkins. Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola wants a new right-back at the Anfield club, and the Reds have had Gusto on their radar for a while. However, they were not able to reach an agreement with Chelsea for the France international. Liverpool want the 23-year-old on a straight loan, but the Blues only want to sell him.

The Merseyside club do not have the financial wiggle room to get a permanent deal done for Gusto having splash the cash this summer.
