Liverpool are maintaining their interest in Inter Milan and Denzel Dumfries, with the Dutch wing-back’s return from injury doing nothing to cool the Reds’ enthusiasm for a summer move according to journalist Niccolò Ceccarini.
Writing in his column for TuttoMercatoWeb, Ceccarini highlighted Dumfries as one of the key transfer situations to monitor.
The wing-back made his long-awaited comeback against Bodo/Glimt.
Finally, he returned after three and a half months on the sidelines, and Liverpool have been watching closely.
Their interest dates back to January, when a winter move failed to materialise.

The concern for Inter is straightforward.
Dumfries‘ €25 million release clause becomes active again in July and can be exercised throughout the month.
At that price, Ceccarini notes, Inter have very little protection.
Indeed, it is an accessible figure for a club of Liverpool’s resources.
And, one that could be triggered without much negotiation required.
