But there's a new generation coming through now. Liverpool are building a team from scratch again and sooner or later that team is not going to include Salah - and therefore lose its biggest African star.

The Reds are already making preparations for that, though. This could see Liverpool make a move for another sensational African in the upcoming transfer window.

Antoine Semenyo is probably up there as one of the best players on the continent right now. The Ghanian international has recently captained his country and he's going to play a key role for his nation at the upcoming World Cup.

Right now he's also excelling in the Premier League where he is one of the best wingers in the competition.

Undoubtedly, because of his performances he has attracted some of the biggest clubs in Europe and England.

Liverpool are among them. Richard Hughes has always been a fan of him. He brought him over from Bristol City into the Premier League while at Bournemouth.

Then there's the fact that he has a £65m release clause in his contract, which makes him an absolute bargain.

Importantly, TEAMtalk are reporting that right now Liverpool are leading the race for the African player's signature and that Semenyo's favoured destination is Anfield right now, meaning he's ready to say yes to a move to the Reds.

It's the kind of news we like to hear. Semenyo is an ideal player to bring in for the post Salah era. He can play on the left-wing but he can also play on the right, which means he could replace the Egyptian.

At 25-years-old he is in the prime of his career. Exactly the type of age when Liverpool like to buy players. So this is simply a no brainer.
