After back-to-back 2-2 draws in the Premier League, Liverpool must aim for their first official win under Andoni Iraola against newly promoted Ipswich Town on Friday night. The Spaniard has been backed with a few new faces; however, there was no significant activity on the transfer deadline day except for permanent and loan exits of several fringe stars and academy graduates.

Ármin Pécsi (GK – TSV Hartberg)

The 21-year-old Hungarian international is enjoying first-team football in the Austrian Bundesliga with TSV Hartberg, starting again last weekend in their thrilling 3-2 victory against Ried. The youngster faced 2.37 xGOT, thus outperforming the prediction model with a couple of stellar diving saves.

Calum Scanlon (LB – Cardiff City)

The 21-year-old Englishman played the full game against Derby County a week ago, but remained an unused substitute in their 2-1 EFL Cup defeat to Norwich City on Wednesday night. Joel Bagan got the nod again in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Sheffield United, as the Liverpool loanee was introduced only for the final few moments before the full-time whistle. He reclaimed his starting spot against QPR, but was taken off at half-time, as the hosts repeatedly exploited the space down his side.

Kieran Morrison (RW – Sheffield Wednesday)

Showed flashes of his expertise as a substitute in their 1-0 defeat to Bradford City, and continued to impress in his first start, while operating as a midfield attacker in their EFL Cup defeat against Wolves. Jose Sa denied him on a couple of occasions, but the talented Northern Irishman registered an assist from the bench in the Owls’ emphatic 7-2 victory against Bromley. Was brought in early in their outing against Wycombe following Louie Barry’s injury. But he could not offer much, barring a few dribbles, crosses and swift runs from wide.

Kyle Kelly (DM – Forest Green Rovers)

The 20-year-old Saint Kitts and Nevis international struggled against AFC Fylde, with Harvey Broad netting twice soon after his introduction as a second-half substitute. He started his first game for the National League side on Monday when they hosted Altrincham, but was taken off moments after Kyle McAllister’s equaliser, before the Green conceded in injury time to suffer their third successive defeat.

Kornel Miściur ( GK – Leek Town)

The Polish custodian has been loaned out to the seventh-tier English side for assured minutes. He grabbed successive starts against Workington and Warrington Town but suffered defeats in both fixtures.

Calvin Ramsay ( RB – St Mirren)

It did not work out for the promising right-back at Anfield, as he has now returned to his homeland with St Mirren on a season-long loan. The Scotsman will be a free agent next summer, and a strong spell in Paisley could earn him a permanent transfer. Started against Motherwell in their 3-3 draw and looked productive from the wide before making way for Jayden Richardson around the hour mark.

Central defensive duo Ifeanyi Ndukwe and Amara Nallo, as well as the Polish custodian Fabian Mrozek, remained unused substitutes for Levante, HJK and FC Cincinnati, respectively. Outcast Harvey Elliott joined Valencia, and the Honduran international Keyrol Figueroa plied his trade at Port Vale on deadline day.
