Stefan Bajcetic confirmed on his Instagram account that he's now a married man. The wedding took place in the summer while the Spaniard was rehabilitating from a surgery he had to get done after the end of last season.

He's been recovering at Liverpool ever since and did not go out on loan, despite catching the eye at Las Palmas last season.

That's because the best course of action for him was to continue his recovery at the club and Liverpool's intentions have been to manage him carefully.

After showcasing his talents during the 2022/23 campaign, it's been a frustrating period for Bajcetic with constant injuries that have halted his progress.

But he's still a young player and it seems like he's now finally on the road to recovery and could be back in action for the first-team soon.

James Pearce writing for The Athletic was asked about when he expects Bajcetic to make an appearance for Liverpool's first-team again.

His answer was as follows: "I can see him getting game time for Rob Page’s under-21s side. As for first-team football, maybe in the Carabao Cup if Liverpool get past Crystal Palace later this month."

So the expectation seems to be that Bajcetic is unlikely to feature in the Palace game but if Liverpool go through to the next round he could make an appearance in the quarter-finals of the competition.

When could that be?

Well according to the Carabao Cup's schedule, the quarter finals will take place in just over two months on the 15th December.

That gives Bajcetic plenty of time to get match fit and prepare for a long-awaited return to the first-team.

He'll have been working with the club's physios closely during this international break, and the focus will be to have him back playing without anymore injuries for the rest of his career.
