Liverpool are ready to make a move that's four year in the making.
Richard Hughes is not done just yet. No, the club's sporting director is ready to end the last week of the transfer window with a bang.

While Alexander Isak is the centrepiece of his vision, he's not the only player on his radar. We know that Liverpool are also looking at Marc Guehi and another versatile attacker.
This versatile attacker has been the biggest mystery. We don't have any concrete names yet, although another one was added to list.
It's clear Liverpool do need to invest in someone else in attack. Even if Isak comes in, the Reds are a little short of options.
They've lost Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz this summer as well as Diogo Jota under tragic circumstances.
So far, only Hugo Ekitike has come in. Rio Ngumoha has emerged as an exciting option in pre-season but can the Reds really rely on a young kid to step-up?
They shouldn't. Liverpool are a side with Premier League title aspirations. They have even more dreams of winning the Champions League.
So in order to do that, the Reds need to have more depth and according to the increasingly reliable Indy Kaila there is another player on the club's shortlist who fits that versatile attacking profile.
Indy Kaila reported that Abdul Fatawu of Leicester City is on Liverpool's shortlist. So, seemingly he's one of those players who the Reds could be looking to agree a deal for before the transfer window shuts close.
Fatawu scored a stunning goal in the Championship at the weekend, and he's definitely demonstrating that he's too good to be playing in England's second tier.
He won't be a stranger to Liverpool fans either. Right after he competed at the U17 AFCON, there were strong reports linking him to a move to Anfield all the way back in 2021.
For some reason, the transfer never materialised. Fatawu moved to Sporting CP and then Leicester City, where he has really started to catch the eye.
Still only 21-years-old, Fatawu is extremely young. He can play on the left-wing and centrally, but he predominantly plays on the right-wing, which means he wouldn't block Ngumoha's path but merely take some load off of his shoulder and also provide much needed back-up behind Salah on the right-wing.
There's no denying that Fatawu is raw and he's not the finished article yet. But he's got a really unique ability in the way he can succeed in one vs one challenges and also take devastating shots from long-range.
If anyone Arne Slot can bring out the best in him and help him to get even better. He's already ready to make an impact from the bench and has the potential to be a future star.
This is why it's a move that makes sense and it's one to keep a close eye on before the window shuts close.
