Coverage of PSG’s interest has been all over the map. Foot Mercato reporter Josue Casse noted that Rodrygo was not on their list. Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reported the opposite, saying PSG and Liverpool have been tracking him while Tottenham Hotspur have stepped back.

A switch to PSG could still come back around after the season if Rodrygo Goes does not see a bigger role at Real Madrid. Premier League interest has been more subdued, though one club is still pushing harder than the rest.

Nonetheless, Liverpool could be emerging as the ideal landing spot for him. Fichajes reports that Liverpool have identified Rodrygo as one of three possible options to step in for Mohamed Salah.

The Real Madrid forward has hit a rough stretch as his role has shrunk. With new arrivals pushing him down the pecking order, his minutes have dropped, and he is now giving real thought to moving on for a fresh start.

Rodrygo would allow Arne Slot to adjust the system without losing balance. He can play out wide, operate as an attacking midfielder, or even work alongside the striker. His profile is less vertical, but more polished in the final action.
