Harry Kane wants to stay at FC Bayern. According to the latest reports, the striker will not activate his release clause. Club and player are already planning an extension.

Harry Kane is sending out a strong signal for FC Bayern and against a possible return to the Premier League. As reported by Sport BILD, the English superstar has decided not to activate his release clause for next summer.

The option is still valid until the end of January, but Kane clearly sees his future in Munich, making it unmistakably clear that titles with the German record champions are more important to him than the dream of breaking the historic goalscoring record in the Premier League in England.

No move to England or Barcelona

The 32-year-old has consciously decided against speculation that a move to England could pick up speed again. Instead, Kane showed himself to be fully focused on FC Bayern and the long-term prospects in Munich. According to Sport BILD, the rumours circulating in Spain about possible interest from FC Barcelona were never seriously discussed either. A transfer to La Liga was never an issue at any time – neither for Kane nor for Bayern.

With his current outstanding performances and the leading role he has assumed since his transfer, Kane has long since become indispensable. The fact that he has now allowed his release clause to expire not only strengthens his position at the club, but also FCB’s strategic planning.

Bayern planning contract talks – extension until 2028 possible

FC Bayern plan to make Kane a new contract offer soon after the option expires. His current contract runs until 2027, but both club and player are open to an extension until 2028. According to the report, Kane can even imagine starting talks after the upcoming World Cup.

An additional contract term would give Bayern long-term security and underpin Kane’s status as a central pillar of Vincent Kompany’s project.
