Liverpool could be set for further frustration in the transfer market, in pursuit of RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande.
The Reds bid £87 million which was turned down, and according to Sky Sports even £100 million might not be enough.
Diomande is a winger who can play on both sides, and is currently at the World Cup with the Ivory Coast. He has impressed with his performances on the world stage thus far.
The winger picked up 12 goals and eight assists in the Bundesliga last season, in 28 starts.
Manchester City held a new round of talks with Nottingham Forest regarding a transfer for Elliot Anderson, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Forest value the player at £130 million. He is currently at the World Cup representing England, and started 37 of Forest’s league games last season.
City are thought to see Anderson as the perfect midfield partner to Spaniard Rodri, and the Englishman is keen on the move.
Craig Bellamy’s potential move to Burnley has fallen through, according to Sky Sports. The Welsh manager was thought to be on track to lead the Championship side into next season, but the deal now seems unlikely.
It is understood that the Championship club have turned their attention to other managerial targets, including Steve Cooper and Rob Edwards.
