Liverpool star sends message to new Real Madrid signing | OneFootball

Real Madrid summer signing Ibrahima Konaté has early this week received a message of encouragement and congratulations from a former teammate at Premier League giants Liverpool.

This comes after the defender reported for pre-season training with his new employers for the very first time.

Stopper Konaté of course put pen to paper on a long-term contract with Real Madrid earlier this summer. After allowing the terms of his deal at Anfield to expire, the Frenchman opted to take his talents to La Liga for the seasons ahead.

Afforded an extended vacation following his exploits at the World Cup with France, Konaté, in turn, only linked up with new boss José Mourinho’s squad at Valdebebas earlier today.

The 27-year-old marked the occasion with a post on his official Instagram account, celebrating the start of an important new chapter in his career.

And quick to take to the comments section to show his backing for Konaté was ex-Liverpool teammate and fellow countryman Hugo Ekitike, who wrote:

‘Proud!’
