Liverpool go in search of a first competitive victory under Andoni Iraola as they take on Ipswich Town at Portman Road tonight.
The Reds haven’t yet felt the benefits of ‘new manager bounce’ after opening the campaign with draws against Newcastle and Nottingham Forest, and anything other than three points in Suffolk would be regarded as another disappointing result.
With the summer transfer window now shut, the prevailing sentiment among many Kopites was that it had been a rather underwhelming one with too many key positions left unaddressed.
However, Liverpool did manage to secure the £106m signing of Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain at the start of the week, and Iraola hinted on Thursday that the Frenchman could potentially be involved against Ipswich.
Has the 24-year-old made the matchday squad tonight? We now have our answer.

Iraola has made just the one change in personnel from the team which started against Forest.
Alisson Becker is between the sticks as usual, while there’s one alteration to the defence as Ronald Araujo comes in at right-back to make his first Premier League start, with Jeremie Frimpong dropping to the bench.
Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai keep their places in midfield, and the front four of Cody Gakpo, Florian Wirtz, Victor Munoz and Alexander Isak is also unchanged.
It means that Barcola is held in reserve among a subs’ bench which also includes Rio Ngumoha and Lewis Koumas in attack if needed. Ryan Gravenberch and Trey Nyoni are also among the substitutes for Liverpool tonight.
