Liverpool transfer to be triggered by £7m deal

The Roma factor

Liverpool will only let Robertson go if they can get Kostas Tsimikas back from his loan at AS Roma, per the Athletic. The Greek left-back is struggling in Italy and they’re happy to let him leave after failing to hold down a first-team spot.

However, they’ll only green-light that if they can get their own replacement. They’re currently searching for a new left-back and Sky Sports claim they made a £7m approach for Wolves’ David Moller Wolfe.

That approach was rejected, however. Roma have moved onto other targets which would suggest they’ve set aside that £7m for a left-back this window.
