Since the start of the season, Mohamed Salah has been delivering a string of disappointing performances. But with Liverpool's collective struggles persisting, Sky Sports pundit Wayne Rooney has suggested dropping the Egyptian from the starting eleven to spark a much-needed reaction.

"If I were Slot, I would try to make a bold decision that would have an impact on the rest of the team. Salah isn't helping them defensively. If you're one of the new players, sitting on the bench and watching him not track back—and again, he's a club legend with everything he's achieved—but if you're on the bench, what message does that send?" explained the Manchester United legend.
