Di Gregorio may have struggled because he was playing at a big club, so he now has a chance to prove himself at Bournemouth. The goalkeeper revealed that he spoke to Kelly about his new club before making the move, with the former Bournemouth player offering a positive assessment.

As quoted by Sky Sports, Di Gregorio explained that Kelly spoke positively about Bournemouth and encouraged him to make the move.

“I’m very happy, I felt the club’s desire to have me. I want to be of help and try to have a great season. I spoke to Kelly who had been here, he spoke very well about the square and recommended this choice to me. Being at Juventus allowed me to grow.”

Di Gregorio’s comments suggest he remains grateful for his time at Juventus despite the difficulties he experienced there. His spell at Bournemouth now allows him to regain his confidence and establish himself once again.
