According to L’Équipe, Lokomotiv Moscow have launched a bid to sign RC Strasbourg Alsace defender Gerzino Nyamsi (26), who has 18 months remaining on his current deal.
The Frenchman has been a mainstay in Strasbourg’s back line, starting the first 13 games of the season before missing the last four games before the winter break with an abdominal muscle injury. With the arrival of younger defensive options in the summer, notably Abakar Sylla, it was thought that Nyamsi would play an increasingly peripheral role, but that has not come to pass.
However, RCSA could cash in on the French defender this month. As previously reported by Foot Mercato, Nyamsi is the subject of interest from Anderlecht. The publication reports that the player’s agent is already in discussions with the Belgian side.
L’Équipe now report that Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow have submitted a €6m offer for Nyamsi, who cost Strasbourg €1.5m back in the summer of 2021.
