Striker Asllani has also played for the likes of Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, while internationally making over 180 appearances for Sweden which yielded nearly 50 goals.

She told londoncitylionesses.com: “I am delighted to be back in England for the second time, now as a London City Lionesses player,” said the 34-year-old. “I can’t wait to put on the Number 9 (playing) shirt and get to know the team.”

Prêcheur had been at PSG since August 2022, previously having spells with Chinese Women’s Super League clubs Jiangsu Suning and Meizhou Hakka.

He said: “Since I met Michele [Kang] last season, I have admired her vision and dedication to the women’s game. The high-performance culture of winning she is building across her teams was a key part in my decision to join London City.”
