Defeat to Atlético de Madrid has left Valencia facing a tense run-in, with attention now turning to Sevilla against Real Sociedad. If Sevilla win, the relegation zone could be just three points away.
According to AS, the squad returned to work this morning at the Ciudad Deportiva de Paterna after a rest day. Ron Gourlay and Javier Solís were present as preparations began for Sunday’s visit to San Mamés.
Saturday’s starters completed recovery work. The standout absence was Lucas Beltrán, who remains troubled by a knee issue and was unable to train normally with the group.
Goalkeeper Julen Agirrezabala continues his rehabilitation and is now completing most drills with the other keepers. The Basque stopper could make a matchday squad before the end of the season.
Diakhaby, Foulquier, Thierry and Copete remain sidelined and are not expected to feature again this campaign.
