Longest-serving staff at Brazil’s Série A clubs on Labour Day

On Labour Day, the longest-serving staff in Brazil’s 2026 Série A were named. According to Globo.com, Santos field administrator Manoel Gomes de Lima, known as Seu Maneco, leads on 64 years after joining in 1962. Fluminense’s Gilson Lopes Mouguet has 60, with Vitória’s Mário Silva on 56.
Of the 20 top-flight clubs, only Vasco did not supply a name, citing record difficulties after its 2022 transition to SAF.
Athletico-PR’s Gilmar Kondrat has devoted 54 of his 67 years to the club. He arrived as a player in 1972, suffered a broken ankle in 1975, then moved into staff roles and now works in operations as a matchday treasurer.
Atlético-MG painter João Lúcio Lourenço signed in October 1979 and is nearing 47 years of service. São Paulo electrician Espedito Carneiro dos Santos has been on the books since 15 August 1978. Flamengo’s Cacá Santana, 70, reached 51 years as a general rowing operator on 24 April.
Grêmio’s Silvio Vargas, 78, maintains the Luiz Carvalho training centre and has completed 53 years. Corinthians’ José Gilmar Ramos, nicknamed Alemão, has looked after pitches since 1992. Bahia’s José Ferreira joined in 1989, experienced the 2023 SAF change, and works as a general services assistant at 69.
Botafogo supervisor Adriano Pinto Colares, 44, has served since 1996 and marked 30 years. Bragantino’s Lidia Uzita Rodrigues, 72, has 28 years in accreditation and operations. Chapecoense’s Jorilde Batista started in 2000 aged 18 and now works in registration, having seen the 2016 Sudamericana and the 2017 Libertadores.
