Lookman scores on Atletico Madrid debut after deadline-day move

Lookman scored 37 minutes into his Atletico Madrid debut, adding their third before the interval.

According to Football Italia, the Nigeria international completed a deadline-day switch from Atalanta for €40m including performance-related bonuses.

Atletico were already 2-0 ahead when Pablo Barrios triggered a rapid counter. Lookman cut inside past two defenders to create space and finished.

The former Atalanta forward had delivered three goals and two assists in 19 games this season before the move.

This strike was his fourth of the campaign in club football.
