Lorran’s stock falls as Flamengo near Sharjah FC sale after aborted CSKA move | OneFootball

Flamengo are moving to sell Lorran to Sharjah FC in the United Arab Emirates after the 20-year-old failed to nail down a first-team place and saw his value slump.

According to Globo.com, the fee is about 1.3 million euros and the agreement is advanced, with medicals required before any signing.

In January 2025 Flamengo nearly sold 80% of his rights to CSKA for 8 million euros after rejecting 5 million. He even reached the airport before contract issues stopped the trip, then joined Pisa on loan.

Sharjah first proposed a loan, which Flamengo rejected. Lorran initially favoured a loan if he struggled abroad, but with no minutes he drew few suitors and Granada’s bid was deemed very poor.

On his return, Leonardo Jardim took him to a camp in Portugal and he impressed, but chances soon faded and he stayed on the market.

Flamengo have been offloading academy players without senior prospects for similar fees, sometimes with no upfront payment but a retained percentage. Ageing out of the under-20s, Lorran risked being parked unless Jardim found room.

He renewed in August 2024 to 2029, lifting his clause to 100 million euros. Despite long-standing interest from major European clubs, he never delivered as hoped.

He debuted in 2023 in the Campeonato Carioca. His best run came in 2024 under Tite, finishing with 27 games, one goal and three assists, before a return to the under-20s and a later loan to Pisa.
