A seven-month-old puppy named Coco was reunited with his owners after sprinting onto the pitch during Angel Di Maria’s Rosario Central 1-1 draw with Tigre on Sunday, his family recognising him in videos shared widely online.

The interruption at the Gigante de Arroyito delighted the crowd as security staff tried to catch the unexpected invader. Priscila, one of Coco’s owners, told Rosario3 they were walking in the park near the stadium when he slipped free.

As they searched the area, a friend spotted Instagram clips of the dog that were already circulating. That alert quickly pointed the family to Coco’s whereabouts.

Camila, who was nearby, took Coco in to keep him safe and later organised his return home.

The owner later posted that Coco, jokingly dubbed player of the match, was back at home and offered thanks to everyone who shared the footage, with a special mention for Cami.
