Lubrax, a Flamengo sponsor, has launched the "Filhos do Manto" campaign, fronted by Zico, Andrade and Mozer, to find supporters named after club idols.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the trio are inviting fans on social media to share their stories, with an emphasis on names that became popular in the 1980s and 1990s.

The focus aligns with the period when Lubrax previously appeared on the shirt, then occupying the main space on the Manto Sagrado, a position that is lower on the kit today.

IBGE figures show 582 Brazilians are named Zico. Some will be selected to meet the former players, with the meetings to appear on Mengo Cast, a FlamengoTV programme, and across social channels.

The 1981 Libertadores turns 45 in 2026, and Brazil counts more people carrying Arthur Antunes Coimbra’s nickname than the title has years.

Lubrax’s current agreement was announced in July. The brand previously featured from 1984 to 2009, when it was part of BR Distribuidora, controlled by Petrobras. Its logo now sits on the back, with Hapvida moved to the inside of the numbering and Shopee and BRB also on the kit.

Betano currently occupies the front-of-shirt. A provisional measure that bans betting companies in Brazil would prevent the brand from Monday (05), so Flamengo intend to leave the space vacant until there is a concrete definition. Lubrax has expressed interest in taking that position, while the club still hopes to reverse the end of the betting sector, with Betano promising R$ 268 million per year.
