Valencia have begun planning for next season, sealing Dieng and De Haas, but Lucas Beltrán will leave at the end of the campaign as his loan from Fiorentina included no purchase option.
According to AS, the deal was completed on deadline day after Fiorentina proposed a clause close to 17 million euros that Valencia deemed excessive, so a straight loan was agreed.
The striker wants to stay and has said so in interview, but he knows Fiorentina, who paid close to 18 million in summer 2023, intend to recover part of their outlay and will not let him go cheaply. He has settled quickly in Valencia and enjoys strong backing from the stands.
Fiorentina have him tied down until 30 June 2028. With two years left this summer, the Italians can assess his situation calmly and will listen to the player and any suitors in the coming window, while his displays keep him in Spain’s shop window.
Beltrán has made 26 appearances this season for Valencia. He has scored three goals, two in the Copa, and tends to operate off the main striker rather than as a finisher. Valencia also have options for that role in Almeida, Javi Guerra, Ugrinic and Raba.
