Valencia face fresh injury doubts before a demanding meeting with Barça, which carries a UEFA Conference League place. According to Superdeporte, training three days before the game brought worrying signs over Lucas Beltrán and Arnaut Danjuma.
The Argentine striker did not train with the group and his involvement against Barça looks highly unlikely. He has been troubled for several weeks by patellar tendon pain that continues to limit him, which may even prevent a Mestalla farewell.
Arnaut Danjuma trained only in part. The Dutch winger completed a segment of the session with team-mates and remains carefully managed after the late issue that kept him out against Real Sociedad.
He is progressing better than Beltrán, yet he is not fully recovered and his availability for the weekend remains in doubt. Valencia look likely to wait until the last moment before deciding whether he makes the squad.
Even so, Carlos Corberán still counts on his leading attackers to face a Barça side finishing the campaign strongly. The next sessions will be decisive in determining whether either player makes it or whether Mestalla endures another day hit by absences.
