Lucas Gourna-Douath is set to join Hull City from Salzburg after a loan at Le Havre from January 2026. The 23-year-old defensive midfielder has passed a medical and is expected to sign a five-year contract to 2031.

According to The Athletic, the transfer is valued at €4m. Hull were promoted to the Premier League for this season.

Under contract with Salzburg since 2022, the former Saint-Étienne player had struggled for minutes. He spent loan spells in 2025 in Rome and in 2026 at Le Havre.

Born in Villeneuve Saint-Georges, the Franco-Central African is a former youth international.

Gourna-Douath made 95 appearances and scored two goals for RB Salzburg over four seasons. He helped the club win the Austrian title in 2023.
