Lucas Perrin signs for Nantes on a free, two-year deal with option

Nantes have confirmed the signing of Lucas Perrin on a free transfer, the centre-back agreeing a two-year contract to 2028 with an option. The club said in a statement that the move was finalised on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old spent last season with Sporting Gijon in Spain's second division, making 25 appearances in all competitions.

An experienced Ligue 1 defender with 169 games for Marseille and Strasbourg, Perrin will step into Ligue 2 for the first time after Nantes were relegated.

He also had short stays at Bruges, playing six matches in one season, and Hamburg, where he featured 16 times in one campaign.

A Ligue 1 runner-up with Marseille in 2020, Perrin joins goalkeeper Maxime Dupé among the Canaris' summer recruits and will aim for an immediate return to the top flight with Nantes.
