According to O Jogo, Luís Godinho recorded in his match report that some FC Porto ball boys removed balls and their pitchside markers during the game against Sporting.

The match was halted in the first half because dense smoke from pyrotechnics affected visibility.

After the 93rd minute there were no balls on the designated markers, a situation that prompted a Sporting complaint and led the FPF to open a disciplinary case.

Godinho also explained the dismissals of Lino Godinho of FC Porto and Fernando Morato of Sporting, saying both deliberately left the technical area to act in a provocative or inflammatory manner towards opposition staff.

Each member of the officiating team received an FC Porto shirt, described as a customary gesture by Porto and other clubs.
