Luiz Araújo eager for Flamengo reunion at Mirassol after knee injury | OneFootball

Luiz Araújo has recovered from a left knee injury and is available to Leonardo Jardim for Flamengo’s trip to Mirassol on Sunday 16, the 23rd round of the Brasileirão. It will be his first game at the Maião since leaving Mirassol’s academy.

Speaking on Kick, the winger said he is excited to return to Mirassol and the Maião, keen to revisit where he came from.

Though he never played for Mirassol’s first team, he came through their youth set-up and helped fund the club’s rebuild. São Paulo signed him in 2013, then in 2017 sold him to Lille for 10.5 million euros, about R$ 38 million at the time.
