Fenerbahce have a verbal agreement with Napoli to sign Romelu Lukaku. Paperwork is due to be processed today, putting the Belgian on course for a move to Türkiye days after Mohamed Salah joined Trabzonspor.
According to Goal.com, Fenerbahce submitted a new bid worth more than six million euros yesterday evening. Napoli accepted and Lukaku agreed personal terms.
The deal remains verbal at this stage. The clubs are set to examine and exchange the official documents today before finalising the transfer.
Salah’s switch has already caused a stir, with Trabzonspor seeing off rival Turkish interest to land him after his Liverpool tenure ended. Turkish football has therefore welcomed two stellar names in the same window.
Lukaku is preparing to leave Napoli after his spell with the Italian club. He is poised to join a Fenerbahce side eager to add experience up front.
