Lyon ‘agree’ loan for AC Milan’s Youssouf Fofana | OneFootball

Olympique Lyonnais have agreed a deal to sign AC Milan midfielder Youssouf Fofana, 27, according to RMC Sport.

He is expected to arrive on a season-long loan. Lyon will pay a €2m fee and hold an option to make the move permanent for €12m at the end of the campaign.

Fofana left AS Monaco for Milan in summer 2024 for €26m and has made 88 appearances for the Rossoneri.

There had been competition for his signature, including from Hull City, but Lyon look to have struck the agreement late in the window.

As one Fofana arrives, another could depart. Malick looks to be on the way out, with Crystal Palace looking to have hijacked Sunderland’s bid for the Belgium international. Ainsley Maitland-Niles appears set to leave Lyon for Everton.
